Applying to a Charter School Program
In order to be considered for enrollment, parents or guardians need to submit a completed Pre-enrollment Application and any other required Program documentation for each student. Accepted applications will add students to a list, to be placed in available openings.
Admission preference will be given for the SLV Charter Programs (Nature Academy, Homeschool Programs including Quail Hollow Integrated Arts) as follows: first to current students in the program, second to Charter School staff (children), third to siblings (of current or former students in the SLV Charter program), fourth to students enrolled in (other) SLV Charter programs, Fifth to students enrolled in District programs, sixth to out of District programs. Lottery Information
Nature Academy and Quail Hollow Integrated Arts handle annual enrollment through a lottery process. If the number of applicants exceeds the number of openings available in those programs, a lottery will be held to randomly determine the allocation of available spots. Once selected through the lottery, students will not need to reapply the following year to continue in the admitting program. Applicants not placed in current openings will be put on a waitlist in their lottery position, and notified if an opening in the program becomes available.

Charter Program Application Forms: Please choose the application form for the correct school year:
For Heartwood Homeschool (TK-1st), Quail Hollow Homeschool (2nd- 5th), Coast Redwood Middle School (6th - 8th), or Coast Redwood High School (9th - 12th):
- Complete the 2025-26 Pre-enrollment Application form. And/or complete the 2026-27 Pre-enrollment Application form. Please check all the programs that you are interested in.
- Complete the Homeschool Intake form.
- Provide copies of immunizations and proof of age.
- Submit these forms and any required documentation to our registrar, via email or fax: 831-336-0131. You will receive an email confirmation of your application submittal.
The registrar’s email address and any required documentation is listed on the Pre-enrollment Application. Please be certain to attach all required documentation.
Completion and submission of these forms pre-enroll your student to our waitlist, however, it does not finalize enrollment. Once a student is placed on the waitlist, we will contact you to discuss the program specifics and plan the next steps for enrollment. This often includes an opportunity to meet with a teacher to learn more about the program and its requirements.
