MEET THE TEACHERS

I have been an arts educator in the San Lorenzo Valley for 20 years, teaching dance and theater to students ranging in age from 18 months to 18 years old. I was director and choreographer for Little People's Repertory Theater in Ben Lomond for eight years, taught dance classes for kids and adults at the Boulder Creek Rec Hall for 15 years, and directed and choreographed theater for students in the San Lorenzo Valley for the past 20 years at the SLVUSD Charter School and SLV High School. Upon earning my teaching credential in 2011, I have incorporated arts education into my full-time classroom teaching and also in after-school arts programs.

I spent 2 years as a UCSC intern in the QHIA classroom learning from Amber and the community. When I graduated from UCSC in 2019, I knew I wanted to work in a classroom like QHIA, so I attended CalState Teach where I received my teaching credential while working in several Santa Cruz County school districts. I love theater and have done shows with MCT. I also enjoy calligraphy, scrapbooking, and digital art.
