MEET THE TEACHERS
I have been an arts educator in the San Lorenzo Valley for 20 years, teaching dance and theater to students ranging in age from 18 months to 18 years old. She was director and choreographer for Little People's Repertory Theater in Ben Lomond for eight years, taught dance classes for kids and adults at the Boulder Creek Rec Hall for 15 years, and directed and choreographed theater for students in the San Lorenzo Valley for the past 20 years at the SLVUSD Charter School and SLV High School. Upon earning my teaching credential in 2011, I have incorporated arts education into my full-time classroom teaching and also in after-school arts programs.
I am a teacher and mother who lives in the San Lorenzo Valley. I received my credential from CSUMB and taught fifth grade for several years. I took time off when my children were little and was an active volunteer in the parent run art program at their school. I then went back to work part time, as a second grade and math intervention teacher. My core values as a teacher include project-based learning, choice, creativity in demonstrating student understanding, curiosity, and pursuing engagement and literacy through inquiry.
