Our Fall fundraiser has begun!  


Every year The Boardwalk hosts a Drive for Schools Drawing for local schools, giving away a long list of prizes. This year there are five $1,000 cash prizes and a $25,000 cash main prize. There are also many other prizes generously donated by other local businesses. All money raised goes directly to our class. (We like to look at this fundraiser as a way to directly donate, with the added perk of being entered into a drawing). We have receipts available for your tax-deductible donation, upon request. This is also a great opportunity for donation matching from you or your spouse’s company, as well. We have info on how to do this for Apple, Microsoft and Google. Just ask!


For this year’s Drive for Schools Drawing, we have set a fundraising goal of $7,500 (including any employer matching funds). As most of our funds are used towards class field trips you can imagine what an exciting year our teachers have planned! This year's requested trips are almost $200 per student. To cover all expenses this year, The Booster Club set an annual fundraising goal of $15,000. In the past, Drive for Schools has accounted for over half our fundraising for the year. If we are unable to meet these goals more fundraisers may be added or some of the field trips will be cut.


Each ticket is $5, or you can get a pack of 6 tickets for $25. Every ticket purchased is entered into the Drive For Schools drawing. The drawing is held at the Boardwalk on October 29th, you do not need to be present to win. So, you can also reach out to Grandparents, extended family, neighbors and friends! There is no limit to how many entries per person. 


Colleen Russell is our amazing parent volunteer who will oversee Drive For Schools for us. You will see her and other members of our Booster Club board on site the next few weeks, at drop off and/or pick up, ready to hand out tickets. If you normally drop off and pick up curbside or your child rides home with a friend, let us know and we can arrange to send a few tickets/packs home with your child. The Deadline to return your ticket stubs for the drawing is October 19th.
