Homeless Garden Project Field Trip

We are so excited to offer this opportunity through Paul (Vivian’s dad) to check out and learn about the HGP Farm!

Here is a rough outline as to what you can expect:

11 - 12: Gather, farm tour & talk about growing food

12 - 12:30 Lunch

12:35 - 2 Farm volunteer tasks - weeding, digging, play in the dirt. 

HGP uses volunteers to provide a freshly prepared farm lunch on work days, so we are happy to provide lunch, but do really like to have a clear sense of how many mouths to feed.  That's why we're including the lunch question in the Google doc signup here

There is a volunteer waiver and group sign-in form.  Attached is the waiver to review.  We will bring a copy and send around the waiver so parents can read it and sign-in on the day of the field trip.

Directions to the Farm - It's searchable on Google maps.  Everyone should approach via Delaware (road behind Natural Bridges) as Shaffer Road does not cross the railroad tracks from Hwy 1.  There is plenty of parking along Shaffer and we'll gather by the big red farmstand.
