Apply to a Charter School Program

In order to be considered for enrollment, parents or guardians need to submit a completed Pre-enrollment Application and required documentation for each student. Accepted applications will add students to a list, to be placed in available openings.

Lottery

If the number of applicants exceeds the number of openings available, a lottery will be held to randomly determine the allocation of available spots. Currently, Nature Academy and Quail Hollow Integrated Arts will have a lottery process. Once selected through the lottery, students will not need to reapply the following year to continue in the admitting program. Applicants not placed in current openings will be put on a waitlist in their lottery position and notified when an opening in the program is available.

Admission preference will be given for the SLV Charter Programs (Nature Academy, Homeschool Programs including Quail Hollow Integrated Arts) as follows: first to current students in the program, second to Charter School staff children, third to siblings of current or former students in the SLV Charter program, fourth to students enrolled in other SLV Charter programs, Fifth to students enrolled in District programs, sixth to out of District programs. Apply to Charter Programs

Heartwood Homeschool, Quail Hollow Homeschool, Coast Redwood Middle School, or Coast Redwood High School:

Complete the Pre-enrollment Application form. Be sure to check all the programs that you are interested in.
Complete the Homeschool Intake form.
Submit these forms and any required documentation to our registrar, via email or fax: 831-336-0131. You will receive an email confirmation of your application submittal.

The registrar’s email address and any required documentation is listed on the Pre-enrollment Application. Please be certain to attach all required documentation.

Completion and submission of these forms pre-enroll your student to our waitlist, however, it does not finalize enrollment. Once a student is placed on the waitlist, we will contact you to discuss the program specifics and plan the next steps for enrollment. This often includes an opportunity to meet with a teacher to learn more about the program and its requirements.

Apply to Nature Academy

Application Window for 2024-25: Opens February 15, 2024, and closes March 7, 2024, at 3 p.m. **Applications will be available on the website once the application window opens on February 15, 2024.

Lottery to be held March 28, 2024, at 3 p.m.

Please download, print, and complete the Nature Academy Application.
Be sure to complete ALL parts of the application, including having your student handwrite a personal letter (details on the application).
Refer to Nature Academy LIFESKILLS to aid in writing the letter.
A pre-enrollment application must also be submitted with your Nature Academy application and letter. (See below for all application pdf links.)
Scan and email the entire application to our registrar by 3:00 pm, by March 7, 2024. You will receive an email confirmation of your application submittal.
Check the lottery list posting. Lists will be posted in the window of our Charter Administrative office and all applicants will be notified by our registrar via email.

Apply to Quail Hollow Integrated Arts

Application Window for 2024-25: Opens February 8, 2024, and closes February 29, 2024, at 3 p.m.

Lottery to be held March 21, 2024, at 3 p.m.

Please download, print, and complete the Quail Hollow Integrated Arts Application.

Be sure to complete ALL parts of the application, including having your student handwrite a personal letter (details on the application).
Scan and email the entire application to our registrar by 3:00 pm, by February 29, 2024. You will receive a confirmation of your application submittal.
Check the lottery list posting. Lists will be posted in the window of our Charter Administrative office and all applicants will be notified by our registrar via email.
