Student Activities

Kurt Edwards, Cougar Swim School and SLV Community Pool:

Cougar Swim School is in its 5th year of teaching swimming and spring board diving lessons to children and adults in the San Lorenzo Valley.  Along with our lessons we offer a “Fun-petitive” swim team and our Cougar Junior Guard Day Camp.  Our instructors are excited to teach both the young and the older how to swim and be comfortable in the water.  Many of our instructors are current and former student athletes who competed on the swimming and water polo teams at SLV High School.

Our swim lessons begin June 13th and conclude August 4th.  During the same time period the pool will be open to the public 7 days a week for family and lap swimming.  Along with the lessons and Cougar Junior Guard Day Camp, Cougar Swim School collaborates with the school District to offer families and individuals the opportunity to purchase a pool membership that allows them access to the pool when it is open to the public.

The cost of a membership is $60 for a family of 3 to 6 people, or $25 for an individual who lives in the San Lorenzo Valley (Bonny Doon, Felton, Ben Lomond, Boulder Creek, Zayante, and Mount Hermon).  Non-members pay $5 per person, per visit.  An annual membership is good for one year (May 1st to April 30th) and may be purchased at the pool during public swim hours.

For more information about our swimming lessons, community pool hours, and other fun activities, please contact Kurt Edwards Cougar Swim School at 831-239-4228, or visit our website www.cougarswimschool.com.

Come and enjoy a summer of lessons, fun, and sun at the San Lorenzo Valley High School Community Pool.
